Calling all needle artist to enter the Woodlawn Needle Arts Show, the oldest and largest Needle Arts competition and exhibition in America.
Entries may be mailed to the Historic House by February 12 or dropped off in person February 14 & 15.
WHO: All entries must be worked by a currently living person, stitched with a HANDHELD, THREADED NEEDLE. All pieces must be appropriately finished including framing with wirehanging devices. (no sawtooth holders)
This show does not include items such as knitting, crochet, woven and hooked items.
WHAT: Classifications: All entries will be classified by Division, Category and Technique.
Judges reserve the right to move items between Classifications.
Divisions:
Adult: entrants over 18.
Junior: 17 or younger when the work was completed. Work must have been accomplished within the last year.

Quilted Accessories: Wall hangings, pillows, clothing ONLY, limited to 24" x24" due to limited space.

WHERE: Woodlawn, located in Mt. Vernon, Alexandria VA is a National Trust property. It is the home of Fielding Lewis and Eleanor Custis Lewis, granddaughter to George Washington. The home was their wedding gift from George and Martha Washington.

WHY: This is an AMAZING opportunity to show and share your needlework in a Historic Setting. Thousands of visitors view the show during the month of March. Many visitors return year after year to see the Needlearts!
Special awards are given as well as First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention.
All fees are used by Woodlawn for educational activities.
FEES: Adult entry fees are $20 for the first item, $10 for additional items. Each entrant is given one guest pass to return to see the show.
SETS of items such as multiple pieces of a collection require individual entries.
Each piece is judged and displayed independently.
Junior entry fees are $5 per item.
The Show will be open for public viewing March 1-31. Entry fees to see the Show are $10.00/adults, 5.00/children.
