Thank you so much for this lesson. I too, am new to smocking and I don't understand why these directions are not shown in the instruction leaflet, I just bought a new pleater and the instructions were very basic, to say the least.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been smocking for awhile but have never changed all the needles at once and when I did, for some reason, I was putting them in upside down! Thank you for the clear and easy to follow pictures!


You are a Star. I had no idea what to do with my Pleater. Just bought it on a whim but wistfully look at it a couple of times a day. Confident I can give it a go now.

Thank you , Thank you , Thank you.....I am new to smocking and have been searching the internet to find out how to change the needles in my pleater...without success until I can across your sight...thank you for starting at the beginning for people like me that have never touched a pleater or smocked in their lives..
